Botox, Restylane, Juvederm and and other Non-Surgical Treatments.
Botox® is a wrinkle fighting solution that is injected into the problem areas of the forehead and around the eyes where the facial muscles have been contracting over years to fold skin into chronic flexure lines and deep wrinkles. By stopping the muscles from contracting for several months, the appearance of the face lines is reduced. There are no scars and there is no recovery time for this procedure. Frequently, use of Botox is coupled with other treatments that fill in (dermal fillers) the creases, see below.
Collagen, Restylane®, Radiance®, Juvederm® and, depending on the need, fat injections are available for men and women who would like to plump up creases, flexure lines, wrinkled and sunken facial skin, lips, and the backs of hands. Sometimes these are offered as touch up and refinement to bigger changes brought by facelift, browlift, and other surgical procedures.
