Complex Breast Surgery – San Diego / Del Mar / Temecula / San Clemente
Complex Breast Surgery can mean any number of types of surgery involving the breast. There are occasions when breast development is very asymmetric (sometimes called "lopsided breasts"), or correction of an inverted nipple is required, or the breasts have been previously operated upon with a poor or unsatisfactory outcome. Complex breast surgery involves revising the breasts or improving congenital breast deformities including tubular breast malformations.
Case Studies in the Before and After Slideshow
Case 1: This is a complex breast procedure to try and create symmetry. It is fairly difficult to get the breast to look the same but this is a 2 month follow up of a San Diego complex breast surgery patient who received an augmentation with a 375 cc implant on the right and a lift with an augmentation (250 cc) on the left breast. The scars will take a year to be less noticeable but she is very happy with her outcome and feels much more confident.
Case 2: This patient had a tubular breast which is more difficult to shape because the breast is "constricted" and herniates into the nipple complex. It is also one of the indications to do an augmentation above the muscle. This patient underwent a saline augmentation with a 350 cc implant and this is a 3 month follow up. The incision goes around the nipple to push the breast tissue back down from its herniation into the nipple.
Case 3: This 23 year old has a complicated breast deformity which required an augmentation on the right breast and an augmentation with a breast lift on the left breast to create symmetry. She wanted to look good in her wedding dress and has good symmetry 1 year after her surgery.
Case 4: This 32 year old had "tuberous" breast deformity. This is one of the indications to do an implant above the muscle as well as dropping the inframammary fold. This is a 3 month follow up. The scars are still pink, she has 400 cc high profile gel implants, and a nice shape.
