Male Breast Reduction, Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia, or male breast tissue, is a fairly common condition that first
becomes apparent in adolescence. While there are some hormonal causes, most
of the time no abnormalities are discovered which lead to this problem. The
adolescent males are often teased which often causes issues with their self-confidence.
The procedure generally takes about 2 hours and consists of fine-gauge liposuction
of the chest area along with excision of the breast tissue. The recovery period
generally reauires about 7-10 days.
