Easing Your Concerns
Recovery
The recovery period for your breast revision will depend on the nature of your revision and how the procedure was customized, as some techniques are more invasive than others. Usually, you can use your original breast augmentation recovery period as a guide for your breast revision recovery, as everyone heals at their own rate.
During your consultation in Murrieta, Dr. Batra will provide you with a hand-tailored recovery guide and a list of what you can expect. As with your original breast augmentation, you will be given a surgical bra initially to wear around the clock to reduce swelling, support your healing breasts, and increase blood circulation. Bruising and swelling may take several weeks to heal, but most patients feel up to returning to work within one to two weeks. All strenuous activity should be avoided for six weeks or until cleared by Dr. Batra.
Pain
Breast revision is performed under general anesthesia to ensure a comfortable and painless procedure. Bruising, swelling, and discomfort are common following breast revision surgery and may linger for several weeks.
Prescribed pain medication will remedy any post-operative pain that you experience.
Scars
Scarring will be present wherever there is an incision. Dr. Batra does his best to make these incisions as inconspicuous as possible, and occasionally, the scars from your initial breast surgery can be used again to minimize the formation of a new scar. Any scarring will fade with time and can be hidden by clothing. To help reduce your chance of visible scarring, be sure to follow all aftercare instructions.
Cost
The cost of your breast revision with Coastal Plastic Surgeons in Temecula will depend on several factors, including the techniques used, anesthesia fees, surgical fees, and facility fees.
You will be given a detailed estimate of your revision surgery costs during your consultation with Dr. Batra.
