Not everyone is prepared to take on the longer operation hours and weeks of downtime required with traditional facelift surgery. Thanks to the power of minimally invasive injectable treatments, patients can enjoy all the benefits of restored youth and enhanced beauty without having to sacrifice as much time, energy, or money.

Whether patients wish to stop their wrinkles from forming with BOTOX® Cosmetic or enhance the plumpness and volume of their face with dermal fillers, Coastal Plastic Surgeons has the non-surgical toolset to meet and exceed your needs. Thankfully, with modern non-surgical advancements and the artful touch of Coastal Plastic Surgeons, BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers can reshape your face for balanced symmetry and youthful contours.

What Are the Benefits of BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dermal Fillers?

RestoredYouthfulness

BOTOX® and dermal fillers are highly effective for providing more youthful-looking skin or maintaining the results of a previous facial surgery. By touching up fine lines and wrinkles or refining and restoring volume to larger areas, BOTOX® and dermal fillers can significantly deter mild to moderate signs of aging. Dermal fillers are particularly potent for filling out areas that may have lost volume, such as the jawline, chin, and cheekbones.

QuickTreatment Times

Superior to the lengthy procedure hours required for full facial surgery, injectable treatments take a matter of minutes to complete. Additionally, injectables offer substantially low downtimes— if any, and most patients can return to work immediately. BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers can last anywhere from several months to a year or more, saving patients the cost of spa treatments that might require monthly maintenance.

CustomizedRejuvenation

BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers are a highly versatile set of treatments. These injectables can adjust to nearly any patient’s needs, whether it is the chin area, lips, cheekbones, forehead, or jawline. BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers are also a great adjunct to other facial surgeries, such as eyelid surgery, facelift surgery, and ear surgery (otoplasty). Injection volumes vary by patient, allowing for subtle or dramatic enhancement.

How Are BOTOX® and Dermal Fillers Injected?

Your Injectables Consultation

The consultation is an essential part of your BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers journey. Every patient has a different facial structure and presents unique aging concerns. Since your needs are specific to you, your consultation with Coastal Plastic Surgeons will allow them to develop a surgical plan tailored to you. During this meeting, they will evaluate your medical history and the condition of your facial structure to see if you are a candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic or dermal fillers.

How Are Injectables Done?

BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers are performed by quick injections. The procedure steps will change based on the area being targeted, and the use of BOTOX® Cosmetic or dermal fillers, although they are similar. Most injectables involve the assistance of a numbing agent in the form of a topical cream. With this, most patients feel very comfortable and at ease. Injections are made with a very fine needle, causing minimal disruption to the skin’s surface. The fine needle will not scar the skin.

BOTOX® Cosmetic typically takes only a few minutes, while dermal fillers can take anywhere from five to 30 minutes. This is based on the number of areas being treated and the amount of filler being used.

Combining Injectables With Other Treatments

BOTOX® Cosmetic can be combined with dermal fillers and vice versa. Additionally, different injectables make for unique and personally tailored results. Applied as maintenance after other facial surgeries or as an alternative to surgical enhancements, BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers can diminish signs of aging and restore a youthful and balanced appearance. Dermal fillers are most effective in correcting issues with volume and definition. BOTOX® Cosmetic is ideal for “freezing” deep lines in the forehead, eyebrow, and eye areas. Additional treatments, such as blepharoplasty, otoplasty, and facelift surgery, can provide more comprehensive aesthetic results.

BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dermal Filler Concerns

You can expect little to no downtime after the injections. Still, Coastal Plastic Surgeons provides you with detailed steps regarding your recovery that include how to take care of injection sites. Patients should avoid rubbing or sleeping on the injection sites for the first few hours, so they do not irritate or disrupt the results. Patients should also avoid high-intensity athletics for at least 24 hours as this exacerbates swelling and bruising; however, you can return to your normal activities right away. It should be noted that the length of your recovery may change based on the treatments combined with your BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers.
Since the injections are made with a fine needle, scarring does not occur. The skin at or near the injection site may experience some minor inflammation; however, this should subside quickly.
Your BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers cost will depend on the amount of product used to correct the targeted areas. This cost will also vary based on whether or not any additional treatments were combined. You will be provided with a quote during your consultation that will include the proper estimates.
BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers injectables are typically painless. Some patients may experience minor swelling, bruising, and redness, but this will subside within a few days.

Patient Testimonials

I have been seeing Dr. Batra for several years. He originally repaired a botched breast reduction and lip enhancement messed up by a well known Del Mar plastic surgeon. Since that time, I have continued to see Dr. Batra for way less serious problems and overall “fun” improvements. He is the best botox and filler doctor out there. I rarely even bruise after the injections. I have been to other doctors in the past for this and experienced severe bruising...
